VibeDJ is a music studio that runs in your browser. You can use it without an account, and we try to collect as little as possible.

What stays on your device

• Projects, settings and progress (lessons, levels, chosen sounds, avatar, and an Inspire access code if you enter one) are saved in your browser’s local storage. They never leave your device unless you export or share them. Clearing your browser’s site data removes them.
• Microphone recordings are processed in your browser and are not uploaded.
• We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.

What is sent to servers

• Song search (Inspire). When you search for a song, the search text goes to the public Apple iTunes Search API and/or the Deezer API (directly or via our server) to find the title, artist and preview. Their own privacy policies apply.
• Sound generation. If live kits are enabled, the chosen song’s title, artist, genre and measured tempo/brightness are turned into text prompts on our server and sent to Stability AI (Stable Audio) to generate sounds. No personal data is included. Generated sounds are cached on Cloudflare so the same song doesn’t have to be generated again.
• Limits and abuse protection. To keep costs fair we count requests per IP address per day (for example, live kits per connection). These counters only hold the IP address and a number, and expire after about a day.
• Hosting. The site runs on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details to deliver pages and protect against attacks. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
• Usage statistics. If enabled, we count anonymous events such as “a song was exported” using cookie-less Cloudflare analytics. These counts don’t include your IP address, an identifier or anything you made.

Sharing

When you share a song, the file or link goes wherever you choose to send it, for example WhatsApp. If you create a share link, the rendered audio and its title are stored so that anyone with the link can play it.

Children

VibeDJ doesn’t ask for names, emails or other personal details to make music.
